My Strange FamilyI am a stay-at-home mom who loves to travel, eat great food, do Pilates and read books in my free time (also known as nap time). In the last six years I have lived in San Diego, Sydney, New York City, Hong Kong, and New York City again. Originally from Southern California, city living is a big change for me but I love the opportunities that it provides for me as a SAHM. We are staying put in NYC for now, while my husband still travels the world for work. Just one family’s Strange life but it is My Strange Family.

  5. Hi! Thank you for liking my post! I think being a stay at home mum is fantastic. Don’t get me wrong, I know much how hard work young children are. Mine is so big now but I’ll never forget those early years. And yes, I wasn’t working when my daughter was born, so I was home most of the time too!

  6. I love your black and white photo banner. That is beautiful!

  11. I’m glad to find others who have discovered the joy of city living. Even downtown Dallas feels like a city these days, and for the first time in decades I feel like an urbanite. Being an old fart single man, I don’t have much in common with a SAHM, but your blog is well-written and fun to read. Thanks for checking mine out.

  15. Hi Kris,

Thank you for following my photography blog “thingsunderstood.wordpress.com” – I really appreciate your support and interest!

I love your blog by the way. Very interesting – and my boys are already 19 and 22 years old – wish I could still play with some of these toys too! When they were little, we had a lot of great wooden toys from IKEA – a kitchen, real porcelain dishes and tea set, cookware, art supplies, great things! Anything that promoted creative play, invention and creativity. I guess it payed off; one is studying Illustration at art school, the other one is studying carpentry and hopes to go into historical restoration.

Great to read your blog! Thanks again and have a lovely holiday!

    Jacqueline :-)
