From Discovery Hill you will have unparalleled views of New York harbor and the city skyline. These two were born here, it’s the only home they know, and one day they will have questions and when that day comes I will answer them. We still live in uncertain times but these two deserve a future free from fear.
Sitting modestly on Discovery Hill, Rachel Whiteread’s public sculpture “Cabin” creates a sense of contemplative quite and distance from the bustle of the city across the water.
Growing up in NYC these kid get to experience culture on a daily basis, in the summer trekking out to Governors Island is always a treat. So close yet so far from city life.
