After having an artificial Christmas tree for five years we decided to buy a live one. Nothing say Christmas like the scent of a fresh-cut tree throughout our apartment. In New York City, Pop-up sidewalk shops start selling trees on almost every other corner during the holiday season, between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Once you pick out the perfect tree, you’ll have to walk it home, so make sure its not too big or request a delivery. The kids wanted a great big Christmas tree, but we settled on a smaller one, about the height of my son.
