My kids don’t have to wear uniforms to school, but I still like them to look well put together and sharp when they are attending school. I feel when kids dress “up” for school it promotes better behavior and an increase in student achievements, the focus is less on what everyone else is wearing and more on academics.

Besides looking nice at school, I want my kids to be comfortable, so when I was asked to review a few items from French Toast I was excited to have my kids test the clothes out, for quality and comfort. The items from French Toast can easily be worn as an everyday school uniform ensemble, or individual pieces mixed and matched with items from your kids closet. I was first surprised by how affordable all of the clothing items on FrenchToast.com are, and most things are under $20, and even lower. Once I had the items in hand I was pleased with the craftsmanship and they fit my kids nicely. Plus after a few weeks of wear and washing, they have held up, with a kindergartner and a two year old that is quite impressive.

French Toast slacksMy son sported these easy pull-on pants for a wedding and to school a few times, they have a mock fly and button, two front pockets, and a single back pocket. Made out of cotton/polyester and machine washable. My son is tall wearing a larger pant size, but he is still in kindergarten and has a hard time with zippers and buttons so these slacks are perfect for him. $13

French Toast Play & Weekend Wear

I am excited to share that French Toast is working on an amazing play and weekend wear line, coming out next spring. They currently have a small selection of seasonal dresses. But in the spring, the casual wear line will be huge, and totally competitive with other more expensive children’s clothing lines out there. Here is a sneak peek of what I saw at the French Toast show room a few weeks ago. Tons of neon color and bold prints, I can’t wait to get my kids in these fun fashions next spring.

French Toast Play and WeekendHow do you like to dress your kids for school?

Thank you French Toast for the items and partnering with My Strange Family on this post. As always all opinions expressed here are my own.
