It took my son four and a half year to master the climbing and sliding dome at Union Square playground. Once he made it to the top, he did not want to come down, and loved the view from way up high. I was so proud of him for overcoming his fear of the dome, and I know the skills he gained in the process will help him through tons of challenges in his life.

However, I took lilStrange to Union Square playground today, just the two of us, and she wanted to go to the top of the dome. lilStrange is only 22 month old, but has been very adventurous and strong her whole life. The park was not crowded at all, so I let her make an attempt up.

Climbing the dome Union Square ParkI think she was very proud of herself and was enjoying the view from on top of the dome, until she took a look down, and well the last photo says it all.

We are now happily home and she is napping before school pick-up. At least I have the photo evidence that she did it.
