Located at Disneyland on the Tomorrowland Terrace Stage, is the very popular Jedi Training Academy. My husband is a huge Star Wars fan and was over the moon when H was selected to volunteer at the Jedi Training Academy. If your little one wants to “Join the Force” they must be aged 4 to 12 (don’t tell them H is only 3), stand up and shout, “Pick me!” and show you have what it takes to become a Jedi Knight. The whole process is so cute and an experience your kid (or your Star Wars fan husband) will never forget.
Once picked the Jedi trainees don the famous brown robes, then take the sacred Jedi Oath. After promising to use all new powers for good, each young Jedi Knight-to-be is handed a training lightsaber and taught ancient battle techniques from a true Jedi Master.
Then the Jedi Training Academy volunteers are challenged to test their skills against true Star Wars villains. Darth Vader and Darth Maul, and imposing Stormtroopers appear and duel with the trainees. I was worried H would not be up for the challenge but he did great especially for a 3 year old.
So, H is now a Padawan! Remember a Jedi uses the force for knowledge and defense, never for attack. Activate your lightsaber! And may the Force be with you.
The Jedi Training Academy show lasts 23 min and has multiple show times each day.
