I grew up in Southern California, so as a kid my family went to Disneyland a lot. We always tried to go when the crowds were small and the lines short, so we rarely went to Disneyland at Christmas time. However the magic of Disney is even more magical during the holidays (if you can just get past the 40,000+ crowds).

Disneyland Christmas Tree

This was H’s second trip to Disneyland, and now that he is walking, and a bit taller he can ride a lot more of the attractions. Plus he is not scared of the characters anymore!

We also stayed at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel located right inside the Disney California Adventure Park (the best decision ever). The perks of staying at this hotel; special theme park entrance, a place to take H for a nap without having to walk far or take a shuttle, valet parking and the best perk by far is the extra “Magic Hour” allowing us to enter the park 1 hour early prior to the gates opening up to the general public! During peek season at Disneyland this extra “Magic Hour” was vital for getting on so many rides, from the hours of 7am-11am we got on 90% of our days total rides.

I took tons of photos and videos during our two days at Disneyland, however on Christmas eve I lost my cell phone losing everything (positive note I got the new iPhone 5) the only saving grace is the Disney PhotoPass, so I was able to download and buy of few of our magical memories (photos included in this post).

I hope you all had a great holiday and got to have some time off with your family!
