It is only Wednesday and I have been extremely busy, so to keep everyone some what up to date I am going to do a recap of my week (so far).
Monday night was Strut: The Fashionable Mom Show: It showcased moms who are on a mission, making a difference in the world. Many of my friends from the blogging community (Raising Three Savvy Ladies, TheMoms) walked the runway, plus some fun celebrities (Wendy Williams, Lisa Rinna) and tons of amazing strong women (with buff arms). The music was spun by nine-year-old DJ Fulano! This New York Fashion Week show was so inspirational and I am so proud of my friends strutting it.
Tuesday morning I was a guest blogger on the Katie Couric Show: This was Katie’s second live show, and I was honored to be asked by the Digital Producer to be a part of it. The show was about Aimee Copeland a 24-year-old who was diagnosed with a rare, flesh-eating bacteria, that resulted in amputations on all four of her limbs. This was Aimee’s first interview since her accident and she came on stage using a walker not a wheelchair! Besides meeting Katie Couric and seeing the workings of the ins and outs of a talk show, I got to meet an amazing blogger Sheila May Advento, she blogs about her life as a quadrilateral amputee.
Wednesday Evening was “Forever Young” Boy Meets Girl runway show: The show was loud and upbeat. The clothes were cute, functional and affordable. However, the best part was the featured special performancebyWyclef Jean & Cris Cab. So much fun, Wyclef even played the guitar with his teeth!
What is the highlight of your week so far?
