Attempting to navigate through all of the activities and things on offer in New York City for parents-to-be, first time parents and kids is a maze and can be very stressful! That is why I was so excited when I found the web page The Parent Maze. You can use The Parent Maze to browse Kids music/art classes and local services (such as CPR & first aid training, sleep consultants and pre & post natal Pilates or Yoga). It’s a great all in one directory, and it can save you tons of time (which is what you don’t have much of as a new parent).

This week My Strange Family was featured on The Parent Maze NYC Blogger Spotlight and I answered the question What’s your favorite kid-friendly activity in NYC?

Hot town, summer in the city. Yes, summer in New York City is HOT and trying to finds things to keep Baby H cool is top of my list. We spend many days all year round exploring the amazing parks around the city. We like to take the subway to different neighborhoods to find the hidden gems and make a whole afternoon of playing and exploring. And these parks are definitely the best part of being in NYC for the summer. Also known as spray-parks, they turn into magical water playgrounds, the fountains and sprinklers coming alive as great cool-down spots for kids and parents alike. Best part? They are all FREE.

Thank you to The Parent Maze for featuring My Strange Family and I am excited to navigate New York City together in the future!
