We just got home from a very long trip away (3 weeks). I love seeing my family and friends on the West Coast and we never seem to have enough time out there even if we had all the time in the world.

After every trip I contemplate on all the things we did and did not do, all of the people we saw and did not see. Even though we had three very full weeks out west, I question whether it’s better to spend a lot of time with a few very close family and friends, deepening the relationships or is it better to spend our time running around town trying to see everyone and have moderately deep relationships with a lot more people?

How do you deal with these situations when you move away from the place and people you grew up with?
