The plants are blooming early from unseasonably warm weather in New York City. The parks are gorgeous and perfect for long lazy afternoon walks with the family. Last Sunday the Strange Family walked almost three miles from the Ancient Playground just north of the Metropolitan Museum of Art all the way home to Gramercy Park with a few detours in-between.

The Ancient playground’s climbing pyramids, obelisk and sundial were inspired by the museum’s collection of Egyptian Art.

The trees are full of cherry blossoms and Baby H was loving smelling the sweet floral smells (even though the pollen made his eyes all red). Allergies?

Love the pure joy on his face!

We walked past the Alice in Wonderland statue towards the Conservatory Water. Inspired by Parisian parks, guest can navigate the water with wind and radio powered model boats (April-October).

How do you spend lazy spring afternoons with your family?
