Located on the East Side of Central Park between 63rd and 66th Streets is the Wildlife Center better know as the “Central Park Zoo,” the animals here get to roam in their own natural habitats while surrounded by the urban environment of New York City.
This being our first trip to the zoo we did not know what to expect and were a bit surprised by how small it is (then again this is NYC and everything is small here). We only had an hour and a half to make our way through the exhibits and easily got to see everything in that much time. Baby H (almost a year old) loved watching the King Penguins and the Black and White Ruffed Lemurs. Oh and make sure to see the Sea Lions during feeding time three times a day 11:30 AM, 2 PM and 4 PM!
In the Tisch Children’s Zoo, Baby H got to touch the goats and sheep, you are encouraged to feed them (we will save that for when he is a bit bigger). He also got to play in pretend turtle shells, crawl through logs and play on bunny statues.
I am excited to bring Baby H here again and again!
