I just visited a great new shop in SoHo NYC called Treasure & Bond, the concept behind the store is to give back to the community that they serve. Owned by Nordstrom, Treasure & Bond will be partnering with eight New York City non-profit charities from August 2011 through July 2012, devoting special focus to two groups per quarter. August-October 2011 100% of the after cost profits will be going to The New York Public Library and New York City’s Young Men’s Initiative! Love this idea!
Treasure & Bond is an experience. They sell art, housewares, furniture, accessories, woman clothes, men clothes, tons of great gift ideas! However my favorite was tucked away in a corner on the second floor…the childrens section! I wanted to buy everything from the Peek…Aren’t You Curious kids clothes collection (T&B is the only place in NYC that you can buy the Peek line).
My husband and I did splurge a bit and bought Baby H. an adorable army green jacket (my husband happens to have an identical green jacket so we could not resist)! Check out Shaggy Baggy Monkey modeling the jacket. It says “Explore, The World is Yours” on the back. I am so excited for him to get to wear this once the weather gets a bit more crisp in NYC.
Besides the cute Peek… clothes Treasure & Bond had Crazy Backpacks from MadPax, iPad cases for kids called Big Grips Frame, Storage Bins by 3 Sprouts Kids and tons of cute little stuffed toys. Look at the little monkey holding a banana!
You can learn more about Treasure & Bond on their Web page: http://www.treasureandbond.com/site/ or just make your way down to SoHo to check it out for yourself! Let me know what you think.
The shop is located at 350 West Broadway.
I was not paid for this post I just happened to walk past the store and wanted to share the great things going on there. Thank you Salt and Nectar for letting me know about this place before it even opened!
